Sackheim_Unseen-1
As a child I was so fearful of what might be hiding under my bed, or the dark recesses of my closet that I often turned my lights on after I’d been tucked in. Yet despite this, I now find myself inexplicably drawn to the damp-lit streets and dark alleys of anonymous cities. This curiosity is rooted in my need to discover what lies beneath the surface, unseen. This body of work explores isolated fragments from subjects once there but now gone, as a means of shining light on what is hidden, if only for an instant.
